Capacity Strengthening

Aligned with India’s National Action Plan on Climate Change (NAPCC) and the National Programme on Climate Change and Human Health (NPCCHH), strengthening healthcare professionals’ capacity to understand and address climate-related health risks is essential for effective system-wide implementation. To support this, the JSW Centre for Climate Change and Health at the Public Health Foundation of India, in collaboration with Karmayogi Bharat, has launched an online capacity-building course on “Climate Change and Public Health in India” on the iGOT-Karmayogi platform for government officials on 5^th June 2026. The course focusses on understanding the science of climate change and its multi-sectoral impacts including health, principles and components of climate resilient health systems and surveillance tools for climate-sensitive diseases.
