Dr. Asheesh Jain

Dr. Asheesh Jain serves as Head – Health Vertical at JSW Foundation. With over 28 years  of leadership in the development sector, he has driven transformational change across public health, nutrition, and health systems in India. His career spans leading international organizations, UN agencies, donor institutions, and the foundation of one of India’s largest industrial conglomerates. His experience cuts across every level of implementation—from sub-district to national—ensuring that strategy is consistently translated into grounded, executable action. He has led large, multi-stakeholder initiatives across Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Assam, Delhi, and Maharashtra, including the establishment of secondary care hospitals and nursing colleges, and major public health system reforms that have impacted millions of lives. Known for building high-performing, cross-sectoral teams and strengthening institutions, he brings a systems-thinking approach, deep operational expertise, and a strong record of partnering with governments to deliver scalable, sustainable, and equity-focused public health solutions.
