Dr. Sandeep Kaur

Dr. Sandeep Kaur is an Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Public Health-Delhi (IIPH-Delhi), and an Honorary Researcher at Imperial College London. She is a public health researcher specialising in health promotion and the prevention of non-communicable diseases, with particular interests in adolescent health, public health nutrition, and community-based interventions. Her expertise includes designing and implementing clinical and behavioural trials using both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.

She completed her PhD in Public Health from PGIMER, Chandigarh, where her doctoral research focused on a cluster randomised controlled trial evaluating a health promotion intervention package for the prevention of behavioural risk factors of chronic diseases among adolescents in school settings. Her research has been published in journals including The Lancet Regional Health-Southeast Asia, BMJ Global Health, Public Health Nutrition and PLOS ONE.

At the JSW Centre for Climate Change and Health, Dr. Kaur contributes to the conduct of school-based climate-health activities and outreach health activities related to environment and climate change. In addition to research, she is actively involved in teaching, training, curriculum development, and mentoring public health students and early-career researchers.
